she has found that it is difficult for people to choose when there are too many choices. 

I agree with this study, and have seen the same dynamics play out with men & women who want to meet many candidates, but ultimately cannot make any decision on choosing a partner. And, on the opposite perspective, men & women who want to meet a few nice candidates quickly meet a partner and decide to marry.
