Do you Plan to Visit Japan in 2014?

We started our work at MJL this year on Monday, January 6^th, 2014.

As you may know, in Japan, New Year’s Day is like the Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays in the US. Many Japanese people take a long vacation, travel abroad, or spend time with their families.

Many Japanese people are shocked to learn that after the New Year’s Eve celebrations, life goes on as ordinary for most Americans.

Anyways, since now is the starting point of the year, you may have made some New Year’s resolutions.
Perhaps, one of your New Year’s Resolutions was…
“I will marry a Japanese woman this year!”

That’s great!

If so, you may have already planned to visit Japan this year.

As part of MJL’s membership program, all of our male members look forward to visiting Japan for their first meeting with our delightful female members. As our service becomes more popular, we had many male members visit our Tokyo office to have meetings with our female members last year. Especially, from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Eve we had a MEETINGS RUSH. We had many meetings every weekend.

In early December, one of our female members met a gentleman from SF in Tokyo. Their meeting was successful and right afterwards he invited her to visit SF. They visited our sister company’s office and invited one of their staff members to lunch.

They look so happy!

We look forward to hearing wonderful news soon!

Take Action for Positive Change!

Some of our male members say that they are not ready to visit Japan. If it has taken more than 3-6 months since you started communicating with our female member or members, it would be better to plan to visit Japan as soon as possible this year. Otherwise, our female members won’t believe that you are really sincere, and they are likely to move on to another man. Women who are over thirty five years old are especially serious about getting married now. They look for men who are serious and will not wait for men who do not take action for more than a year.

So, if your New Year’s Resolution is to marry a Japanese woman this year, here is our sage advice that will help you fulfill your dream. Decide to visit Japan this year and meet our lovely Japanese female member or members. If you truly want to marry a Japanese woman this year, it is truly possible, and the best way to make this dream a reality is to visit Japan. Meeting our female members face to face helps immensely with knowing whether she is the right person for you and vice versa.

Life is about going after opportunities when you can and not waiting for them to come to you! Your life awaits you here in Japan! Go for it today!

Japanese Women Would Like to Meet Men Who Take the Initiative

We received the following inquiry from a woman last week.

先週、女性から、こんなご質問をいただきました。

What is the reason that MJL male members come and visit Japan to meet female members?

何故、アメリカ（海外）に住む男性が
女性に会うためにワザワザ日本に来るのですか？

Here is our answer.

下記がその答えになります。

As is stated in MJL’s Full Membership Requirements, “Male members must come to Japan to meet female member(s) when they feel chemistry after communicating a couple of months.”

男性がメンバーシップにサインする際に
“よいご縁があれば日本に来る”
ということが、条件のひとつになっているからです。

This requirement means that as our Full Member, we do not accept male clients who say that:
I don’t want to visit Japan to meet Japanese women!
I don’t want to pay for the travel expense!
Women should come to meet me first!
It is not necessary!

言い換えると
ワザワザ日本には行きたくないよ！
渡航費用がばかばかしい！
女性がこっちに来ればいいじゃないか！
日本に行く必要などない！
と、おっしゃる男性は
基本的にメンバーにはしていないのです。

Fortunately, most of our male members take it for granted that they will visit Japan since they are sincerely looking for a “marriage partner”. Many of them visit Japan several times since they love Japan and Japanese culture.

幸い、MJLの男性メンバーのほとんどが
日本人女性との結婚に真剣であれば
来日は当然であると考えます。

The first meeting may be a gamble for all members since there is no guarantee of success. However, women may feel inclined to use this first meeting as a test to see if men will take the initiative in traveling to Japan. We believe that women will be happier if they marry responsible men than men who expect her to take the initiative.

初めてのミーティングはうまくいくという保障がありませんので
誰にとってもリスクが高いですが
女性は将来、夫となる人がリスクを取れるか？ということを確かめたいのです。
そして、責任感のある男性と結婚した方が、女性にリスクをとらせようとする男性よりも

We appreciate that our male members understand our policy. And we believe that this policy creates a greater level of understanding for all of our members, both men and women.

If we find that one of our male members does not visit Japan to meet his candidates within six months since they started communicating by email, we will discuss with him to make sure that he is really serious about his membership. Depending on how the male member responds to our inquiry, MJL will decide whether to remove his membership.

メンバーを辞めていただくこともあります。

MJL is different than the thousands of dating sites on the internet, in that our goal is to create happy marriages. We do this by only allowing people to join who are serious about getting married.

Special Meeting with Naoko in Tokyo

I visited Japan Nov. 3-19, 2012. Every time I visit Japan, I plan a meeting with our members. At this meeting, about 14 people attended and met with me at a restaurant in Tokyo, and I had a nice time with everyone. Thank you!!!

At this meeting, we were honored to have as special guests:

1) A hot couple who just got married.
2) A former male member (a Canadian man) who is a father of a little girl.

3) One of our female members who will get married in Japan next month.

Additionally, two of our male trial members (American men) who live in Tokyo and Kanagawa and eight full female full members took part in our meeting.

I think that talking and eating while mingling at a meeting at a restaurant like this is in some ways better than a one on one meeting since there is less tension or expectations and more opportunities to see people’s natural personality.

The Canadian man who used to be our member sometimes joins our events since he and his wife live in Japan. His wife didn't attend this time since she was at home with their daughter. It has been more than three years since they got married, and they look so happy with their little one. He shared his wonderful marriage life with our members. Thank you!

He also announced party info which will be held in Canadian embassy in Tokyo next month. Some of our female members who heard this info were excited about attending the party.

Attending the meeting might have been her breakthrough although she was struggling with her correspondence with one of our male members.

During the period in searching for her Mr. Right, meeting with other people instead of corresponding with only one guy can be a good experience to see who is the most suitable for her. She can also reflect back on herself to better know who she is as a person.

A hot couple, a female member who will be married next month, and a Canadian papa, also shared their happiness with our single members, and everyone received their happy aura. I am sure their happiness will come soon because of this learning experience.

By attending our special meetings, members will have opportunities that they did not expect and can change their lives tremendously. It is called serendipity. And people who use their serendipity can make their dreams come true easily.

If you really want to find your life partner, take action, use the skill of serendipity. MJL's next special meeting in Japan takes place during the middle of January. Luna will be a host. Mitsuo Aida Museum: A Good Place to Learn About the Traditional Japanese Custom of Sharing

“If we take from one another, there will never be enough.
If we share with each other, there will be more than enough.”

This is one of the popular poems of Mitsuo Aida, a beloved poet and calligrapher in JAPAN.

His words are rather simple, but they convey this traditional Japanese spirit and custom.

Recently in spring 2011, Japan had a big earthquake in TOHOKU, and many people thought there was no hope. However, many foreign media reported with a big surprise that all people in Japan started to help each other and recover gradually without greed or violence.

This is because in Japanese tradition, there is a spirit of “SHARING” which Mitsuo Aida wrote about in his poem. This sharing spirit is seen in times of natural disaster where people of all social classes help each other in order to help everyone survive and bring joy. As a Japanese woman, I am grateful for having this sharing spirit and custom.

More than six months have passed since the earthquake occurred in Japan and Japanese people are still helping each other.

Earthquake in JAPAN

As everyone knows, there was a huge earthquake in JAPAN on Friday the 11^th of March. Many male members phoned or emailed to share their concerns and send us their well wishes for our female members, Japanese people, and even my family. Thank you all very much. Also, many female members wrote letting us know how they are doing. It looked like the biggest earthquake in Japanese history. I pray for all the people in JAPAN.

Well, we are going to Japan next week in order to have a speed dating event with Japanese ladies in TOKYO. At this time, we are still going to Japan and doing the event as scheduled. Most of our male participants are coming from outside of JAPAN, so some of them may be concerned about their trip to Japan now. I think the TOKYO area will recover soon, but it is best to stay informed of what’s going on in JAPAN. Please check for travel information, and when making your decision, please let us know whether you have changed your plans.

We will use this blog to inform everyone of any updates about our event. Please check this blog every few days to stay informed if you are attending our event on March 26^th.

I was going to send everyone the event detail info today. However, we will send it later because of the earthquake. Please stay in touch!

How to Get to Central Tokyo from Narita Airport

Some of our male members who have never visited Japan are concerned about how to navigate Japan’s transportation system without an English guide and how they are going to reach their hotel from Narita Airport after arrival. I understand their concern since I had a similar experience when I first visited New York City. I felt like Crocodile Dundee, very bewildered, but I appreciated that people in NYC were kind enough to assist me, so I didn’t get lost. Thank you New Yorkers!

On this blog, I would like to give you a little bit of Travel Tips to help people who plan to visit Japan for the first time. First I will write about “How to get to Central Tokyo from Narita Airport”

There are several ways to get to central Tokyo in order of preference:

1. By Limousine Bus　-　This is the easiest way if your hotel is on one of the bus’s routes since the buses stop at many hotels.

2. By Train – There are several different routes to get to central Tokyo:

Keisei Line to Ueno Station http://www.keisei.co.jp/keisei/tetudou/skyliner/us/
Narita Express JR Line Express http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/nex/
Keisei (Not Express); cheap but slow.

3. By Taxi - I recommend you to take a taxi from Narita Airport to your hotel as a last resort since it takes the longest, several hours depending on the traffic, it costs more than $300, and you might even get ripped off if you take an illegal taxi. Most taxies are not illegal. It’s best to check before getting in the taxi by looking for a meter and driver id. For these reasons, I do not recommend using a taxi from Narita Airport.

If you are a beginner traveler in Japan, I recommend choosing the Limousine bus from Narita Airport. The limousine bus will take you most likely directly to your hotel, so　you won’t get lost with all of your luggage. It only costs about $30, and it takes a short 90 minutes. The limousine bus reservation counter is to the right outside the customs clearance exit at the Narita Airport. You will see the color orange. The buses departs at least every 30 minutes, so you just tell the person at the counter your hotel name and they will reserve a seat for you. Of course, they will speak English. You can purchase the ticket by credit card.　By the way, you can exchange money in the airport or at your hotel, but we recommend that you exchange your money at the banks in Tokyo instead. There are thousands of banks in Tokyo and the exchange rates at the banks are better than at the airport.
